Frequently Asked Questions
Not at all. Many people join while still figuring out their direction. The orientation and the early weeks of the program are designed to help you clarify what you want to focus on. You don't need to have it figured out to begin.
Anything that matters to you — developing a new habit, navigating a career transition, managing a life change like a new job, empty-nesting, retiring, or the loss of a loved one, or simply wanting to feel differently than you do now. If it matters to you, it fits.
No — and often it works better when they differ. What matters is showing up for each other, not sharing an objective.
Most people do — but you're also welcome to sign up with a friend, or list up to three others you'd like to go through Next Move with. Every configuration works.
Each weekday you'll receive a short text that guides reflection or helps you identify a micro-move. You respond briefly — an insight, an update, whatever feels right. Responses are visible only within your pod, never to the broader cohort.
Your pod — three to four people — meets for one hour each week on the same day and at the same time and place as all other pods in the program. Together, you watch a short learning video and then you break into your separate pods. Time with your pod is structured and supportive: you share progress, discuss what you've learned, and commit to what you want to focus on in the week ahead. Meet-ups take place online or face-to-face, depending upon the program that is offered.
On average, participants spend two and a half to three hours per week on Next Move. This includes the one-hour weekly meet-up with your pod, responding to the weekday prompts, taking your micro-move, pausing to reflect on what you learned, and completing the optional weekly reading. Next Move is designed to fit into a full life.
Absences affect your whole group. During registration, we’ll ask whether you have any known conflicts so we can place you in a pod that fits your schedule. Missing more than one meet-up can have an impact on the experience — for you and your pod.
Full refund up to seven days before the program begins. 50% refund within 7 days of the program start date. Once the program begins, refunds are not available except in the case of an emergency and with the host's approval.
